DivX Player 1.0 Beta 10
DivX Player plays DivX encoded movies.

It's based on MS-MPEG4 and has no relationship to the pay-per-view DivX system. It has a smaller file size than MPEG-1 and MPEG-2.
In order to use this program, you need Windows Media Player 6.3 which works with Mac OS 8.0 or earlier. I tried this version of the Media Player on my OS 9 and ended up with some temporary problems.
After you open DivX Player, it asks you to locate the Media Player. After locating that, you open a DivX to play. Most DivX files are created using MP3/WMA audio. You will need to use the DivX Doctor option in the Movie menu to convert these files into a format that your Macintosh can correctly play.
